Is This Sun I See Or Am I Going Crazy?

*Plays Noah and The Whale '5 Years Time', "Sun, sun suuuuun"* Yes. It has made an appearance... THE SUN. Of course, this is England and no doubt we will be back to our old ways (watching the rain from our windows) BUT that doesn't mean that our wardrobe should still stay in winter mode, because believe it or not... summer is on it's way.

So this leads on to the reason I am making this post. GET RID OF YOUR WINTER-DROBE and update your 'drobe to Spring/Summer wear. Fair enough that it will be cold in places (because that is what England is about - get used to it) and this means that you should have the few items that will help keep you warm, but you also need those lovely items of clothing that let you cool down (i.e. shorts & vest tops).

Last year I was all about wearing shorts all the time (even in rain - just wear thicker black tights) but this year I am mainly about skirts, dresses or pinafores. I'm mainly going to focus on the great Spring/Summer things that I have recently found in NEWLOOK, however, I'll kick off with one/two thing/s from Topshop that I have found goes well and is perfect for when it's warm.

1. The dress has got a cut out of the back and I understand that it is not what everybody likes, so if you are one of those people, why not add a crop top to it? Not only does it look really cool, but people will be confused about whether they think it's a dress or a skirt (I got asked that question many a time).

2. I chose to add the 'Mickey crop top' to mine because the colour goes with the black stripes.

3. LINK FOR THE DRESS (tall)

Now that I've got that out of the way, these are the great things that you can buy from Newlook at the moment.

1. £16.99 LINK // 2. £10.99 LINK

Now that it's hitting the time that flowers and the leaves on trees are blooming, it's time for the floral print and what better yet to add floral print to another rising favourite of most people - pinafores.

1. Simple vest tops are essential for summer. Yes you can have whatever you deem to be fashionable to go with whatever shorts (or whatever) you want. But sometimes when all you want to do is relax in the sun or stay cool - simple vest tops save you.

2. I've mentioned these before, and yes, they are super pretty and fit well. Great for summer.

3. If you are to buy "No.1 Vest Top", it is slightly see through and therefore this bad boy is great if you don't want your bra to be seen. It also stretches down and makes it acceptable to wear as just a top for when it becomes too hot.

My First Date With Christian

By reading the title, I assume you either think that I have:
A. Cheated on my boyfriend (Nick) and have gone on a date with a guy named Christian
Or
B. think that I am making a reference to 50 Shades Of Grey

I'm sorry to disappoint (if it is disappointing news) but neither of those are true. In fact, the title is in reference to my beautiful LouBou's (Louboutins) and my first ever date with them (i.e. Wearing them for the first time).

AFTER
BEFORE

I felt to take a picture of a before and after shot to show you the difference in what the bottoms look like after a night of wearing them. As you can see, the red has started to come off around the left part of the shoe. Unfortunately, this is something that does happen with Louboutins and if you are to wear them on gravel, expect the red to be almost all gone. ALSO, in the before shot, the shoes have a lot more of a shine to them - this is because of the lighting and time of day that I took both photos.

For most guys, shoes are unimportant - they are stupid. Of course, I understand that not everyone out there is a fan of shoes or heels, however, what is most unique about these shoes (excluding the beautiful red bottom) is how they make you feel. Wearing these shoes make you feel like you can succeed in anything, they make you feel that little bit more powerful and confident and make your feet look pretty damn good (not only that, but when people see you in these shoes, they can't help but gawp just a little).

The most common reaction that I found from wearing these shoes were not only, "Omg, your shoes are beautiful", but also, "Omg, do your feet not hurt?" and my answer to that ladies (and/or gents) is NO. I was totally surprised that shoes so big could hurt so little, although, I have to admit, after a few hours my big toes were starting to feel the pain and I did *sigh* take off my shoes *sigh* BUT I knew that I would not be defeated and after 5 minutes, I placed those beauties back on and my feet didn't hurt for the rest of the night.

It is crazy to spend a lot of money on shoes, however, after spending my night with these bad boys, I can gladly say that I don't regret it and if any of you are thinking of buying them, I say DO IT. The way that these shoes make you look and feel about yourself is so much better than the way any man can make you feel or look - even if it is someone like Prince William or Chace Crawford.

So to conclude, I'll let you all in on a secret - my first date with Christian was a good one.

The One With The Sims

Recently I have been noticing a growing trend of people talking about 'The Sims' on both Twitter and outside of the social networking life. I, for one, am a great lover of The Sims and have been drawn to spend a lot of money on expansion packs in the past. With more expansion packs of The Sims 3 coming out, I find it hard to restrain myself from buying or downloading them - you may be shocked to hear/see that I have no extra add-ons for The Sims 3 that I have *weeps*.

But anyway, from hearing so much about The Sims, I have gone back to my old ways (spending hours on the game and ignoring others around me, because lets face it, ruining a Sims life is so much more fun). What is great about the Sims is that not only can you build a house, a family of Sims and give them whatever traits you want them to have, but you also have the power to either make them a success or bring the grim reaper out - and everyone loves a good fiddle match with him.

I have had quite a lot of trouble with The Sims 3 recently, especially considering the fact that you have to go through some 'Origin' thing instead of EA now (what's that about!?) And it took me round about 1 hr 30 mins to finally have The Sims 3 properly updated in order for me to go to 'the exchange' and download some decent clothes and hair styles.

Another great thing about The Sims is the conversations you have with other people about the experiences you've had, "Hey! I once put a firework in my house and everything set on fire" ... "Hey! My Sim randomly set on fire" ... "I let my Sim run around naked" ... 'I locked my Sim in a room with no doors, food, toilets or bed... He wet himself and died" THE LIST GOES ON, and what a funny list that is.

If you are one of those patient people and actually like to make a decent life for your Sim, that can be fun too! Heck, I made one of my Sims a 'rockstar' because I thought it would be cool to be a famous Sim - it was cool.

Although The Sims is a great game, I find that I'm forever frustrated with every new expansion pack that they bring out because they include such cool things that I want and lead me to believe that the game would be better with that little extra add on, however, they aren't cheap and I don't have the money... Another thing to weep about. I'm just waiting around for the newest Sims to be out (probably Sims 4) where I will hopefully be able to drive them MYSELF and actually go into shops and work with them... That will be a great day.

Overall, The Sims is a great game that shouldn't be knocked, and if you've never played The Sims before - play it.

And if all of that doesn't convince you, maybe you should watch THIS trailer that proves how awesome The Sims is with their 'Master Suite Stuff' add-on.

For the Love of New Things

Everyone loves getting something new, lets be honest! And I'm one of those people that get thrills out of buying new clothes (this later goes down and I feel the need to buy more). So on the topic of new things, I thought that I'd share with you the list of amazing new things that I have come across online and wish to purchase for myself.

1. Topshop // £75 // LINK
2. Topshop // £26 // LINK
3. Urban Outfitters // £8 // LINK
4. Boots // £8.99 // LINK

For some reason, the idea of owning boots or even better... Cut out boots, is something that I would really love. I first saw them a few months ago on a 'Vlog' on YouTube and since then have been dying to buy myself a pair! They have recently started to become the 'in' thing (but in black) so I've decided to lust over a browny/red colour instead!

STRIPES are also making their appearance again and this lovely dress from Topshop is a beauty. it has a band at the back of the dress (place your mouse over the image and you will see) which may put some people off, but if that does put you off (CLICK THIS LINK) and you can buy a similar dress - more expensive - from Motel Rocks with a zip up back.

Glitter socks, I think, are totally awesome. They look pretty (feel a bit weird on) and they make shoes look even better! I've found it hard to come across glittery socks, but I came across 'metallic' socks from Urban Outfitters which are pretty cute and I'm dying to buy.

5. Newlook // £22.99 // LINK
6. Topshop // £28 // LINK

7. Topshop // £55 // LINK
8. ASOS // £69.50 // LINK

The cold is still here... As is the few occasional sprinkles of snow, however, that doesn't stop the fact that eventually it will be sunny and hopefully 'summer' will be here soon. Even though it is still cold, that doesn't stop my 'summer' spirit of wanting to wear summery clothes, therefore, no. 5 (Newlook) and no. 6 (Topshop) are the summer essentials that I will need for when the sun does finally appear. I surprisingly don't have a vest top and the fact that (no. 6) has a cut out back design makes me want it even more.

The shoes are what I class as b-e-aaaa-utiful. I love thick and big heels that reveal the feet and are dark colours. So what is to hate about these shoes? Most of you are probably looking at them and thinking 'what the hell?' but hey, think about them on? They would look amazing... Hard to walk in, I could imagine, but amazing.

SATCHELS. SATCHELS. SATCHELS. I love them. I do currently have a satchel, however, I'm now TOTALLY interested in having a 'back pack satchel'. Mainly because my one rubs against my coat and is slowly damaging it, but also because the back pack satchels look SO cute and lovely. They are a decent size to fit college crap in and you don't come across many people with these bags, what more could you want!?

9. Ray-Ban // £113 // LINK
Finally, as I have mentioned before, the sun should hopefully be making an appearance some time soon and what better yet to defend your eyes with these bad boys. The frame is great, as well as the colour (tortoise) and you'll look mega cool wearing them.
