Welcome to Bicester Village

The idea owning at least one designer item is something that I think most women like the idea of, so the idea of going to a place where you get designer items for almost half the price is even better, no?

As you park and make your way toward the left side of the designer outlet, you are instantly greeted by a beautiful Thai restaurant (where I took 5 sets of chop sticks), but then it hits you. Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Alexander McQueen, etc... Excitement overwhelms you. The rush of many different people all squeezing to get into every shop is something that is slightly annoying and could do without, however, if you're determined enough, just stick out those elbows and hit them in the back.

Valentino Dress

Whilst looking around the shops, I found the two main dresses that made my heart skip a beat; Valentino and Versace, omg. But alas, the price (as always) is too dear for us normal folk. With the Valentino hitting a crazy price of £1230 and the Versace with a price of £530, the only thing I could do was dream.


I understand that most of you would not agree on how some people could spend so much money on one particular item, but that's just a preference, I suppose. Some people may not understand why others spend thousands on tattoos? On holidays? On football... But the truth is, people just do and they do it because it's what they like to do.

As much as being in a designer heaven with prices almost halved, it was also some sort of hell for me. Prices discounted still doesn't mean that it is affordable, if anything, that makes it worse. To add to the upsetting fact that I cannot buy the Valentino and Versace dresses that I was in love with, the weather was unbearably cold and it made it hard to enjoy the fact that I was surrounded by the awesomeness that is designer.

I did, however, actually buy something... A LANYARD! From Cath Kidston, just a simple red design with flowers, but nevertheless, it is cute and much better than the Jagermeister lanyard that I was lumbering around with me.

All in all, Bicester Village is a great place to go if you have enough money and the weather is great. TIP: DON'T GO IF YOU HAVE A CREDIT CARD, DESIGNER SALES WILL TEMPT YOU.

The Great Nail Varnishes

When creating or planning an outfit for any occasion, you also need to consider your nail colour. Of course, you don't have to wear nail varnish, but it's always lovely to wear it, just to decorate your hands a little bit! (Otherwise they look boring). When it comes to colours, you need to understand what goes and what doesn't, for example, if you're to be wearing a bright red dress, neon blue nails are probably not the best idea. So, on the topic of nail varnishes, I am going to show you some of my favourite nail varnishes and tell you why they are 'oh, so great!'

First of all, I would recommend that if you're like me and you love wearing nail varnishes, you should probably buy yourself a base coat that protects your nails. I don't do that and now my nail beds have gone orange and I've had to stop wearing nail varnish for a while so that they go back to their original colour AND look (they've gone all wooden looking - ew).

Where's my Chauffeur? • Alist • Lilacism

These are my favourite three Essie nail varnishes I own. The middle one - 'Alist' (£7.99 - Superdrug), is best for most outfits and I find that you can't go wrong with this colour. The most risky colour, I would say, is 'Where's my Chauffeur?' ($8 - Essie), mainly because it's a bold colour, but stick to your simple colours like white and black and that nail varnish works great! 'Lilacism' (£7.99 - Boots) is just pretty, it goes with most colours and has a lovely soft tone to it.

Topshop

Revlon - CLASSY

 < --- This is one of the best nail varnishes I have ever worn! It lasts for a decent amount of time and it's, well... Classy. The colour compliments any outfit and gives your hands a 'Classy' look. (£6.49 - Superdrug)

                                          This ---> is more of a nail varnish that you would use over a nail varnish that you have already painted on your nails, this is mainly because of the fact that the nail varnish is transparent (other than the glitter bits, of course). However, if you wanted to have a pure glitter nail, then it's not impossible! Just keep painting your nails - it takes around 4 - 5 coats. (Cannot find the link)

Rimmel London Matte Finish

For all you lovers of nail varnish, this is one of the best top coats I have come across - ever. Simply paint your nail whatever colour you wish, wait for it to dry, apply this over and BAM - you have matted nails - awesome, right? It lasts for around 2-3 days before fading and then you need to reapply. It doesn't take long before it starts to matte over, however, don't think that you can touch it as soon as it has gone matted because it's still wet. (£4.59 - Rimmel London)






Finally, I show you this velvet nail varnish by Ciate. I have been after velvet nail varnish for a while (not as easy as you may think) and it cannot be found in your basic stores like Boots or Superdrug. I did, however, finally find it in Selfridges! Of course, you can probably find velvet nail varnishes in other places (the Ciate website itself?) but I found this in Selfridges. Priced at £14, I don't think it is worth the money, however, it doesn't mean that I think it's bad, I just think that's a bit pricey... Nevertheless, this is a lovely colour and the velvet sticks well and it lasts a good few days.
This nail varnish comes with the actual nail varnish itself, velvet to stick to the nail varnish and a brush to brush away the remaining velvet on your fingers. (£14 - Selfridges)

The Dream Of Being Rich

It is probably one of the most common things people wish upon themselves - to be rich. I know I do! Heck, who out there wouldn't want to have enough money to do what they want? To be able to spend £50 and then not regret it moments later and have the same thought in your head, "how am I going to be able to afford anything for the next month!?" Of course, if you are of an age where you have a job that pays good, that is probably not a common problem for you.

To have a constant supply of money forever being sent my way would be the best feeling, however, I am not one of those people who wish to have it all just thrown at me. I want to work hard for my money. I want to be able to wake up in a huge mansion with hundreds of Louboutins looking at me and know that I've worked hard to have it that way. After all, what's the fun in having loads of money and nothing else to do other than spend it? You'd get bored after a while.

I'd send wallops of money off to many different charities - make a big difference. I'd open my own shop and sell things that I know people want and need (i.e. Certain bra sizes or shoe sizes that can't be found anywhere else). I'd be able to have my dream wedding with an awesome venue, Vera Wang dress and silver glitzy Louboutins. Have a constant supply of tickets to the best music festivals! Be able to visit Paris all the time! Live in LONDON! Own a huge selection of Burberry coats. Shop in Topshop all the time.

It's odd to think of some people who have started off with less than what we have now (or the same amount - whatever), with barely an education and no one to listen to them, but they still somehow do it. Richard Branson, Alan Sugar, J.K. Rowling, etc... But at the end of the day, they worked for it.

I know that this post is pretty pointless, but maybe it will make you think about what you want for yourself in the future and how yo plan on getting there? Who knows.

Favourite Clothes • Great Outfits

The idea of showing clothes that I love and how to create outfits for different occasions is something that I find interesting, therefore, I am going to show you a few of my Topshop favourites (those of you who know me know I love Topshop) and also show you how you can make some of them a daytime and nighttime (going out) look! There are a few things on here that are from other stores - but most are Topshop.


So here is a collection of my favourite items of clothing:

MOM Jeans // Topshop // £40 // High Waisted

I love these jeans. They are without a doubt my favourites.
They're very 80's/90's, you may notice if you watch 'Friends' in the first series, Monica and Rachel wear jeans very similar to these.
What I love about these is that they're so comfortable and go with a lot of tops that I own. I also love that they are high waisted and sit around a nice place so that it hides my belly button (I hate belly buttons). This means that they are great for when you want to wear crop tops and normal tops.

High Neck Cami // Topshop // £26

I'm forever wanting to wear this top because it is just that great. It is a lovely feel and it goes with so many other items of clothing.

It is slightly see through-ish and so because of that, I advise you wear a white bra underneath it - also make it strapless. But, nevertheless, it is still one of my most favourite tops. Plain tops are the best tops - simple. Although, if you are to go plain, you need to accessorise and chose appropriate bottoms (depending on the style of the top).

Boyfriend Coat // Topshop // £75

This is the mother of all coats. It has a sophisticated look to it (due to it looking similar to a blazer), it goes with a lot of items of clothing AND it keeps you warm - cue 'mother of all coats'.
Due to it being a 'boyfriend' coat, it is bigger than it would usually be and hangs down more than a normal coat. The size I have is size 6 and that is even big on me, so if you're feeling to buy one but want to have the 'baggy look', just get it in your normal size and it'll be naturally baggy. It has popper buttons, which are on the inside of the coat and the material on the outside of the coat is great! But be careful - it is easy to pull apart.

Waterfall Blazer // Newlook // £24.99

Everyone loves a good blazer, and this blazer is a good one at that. The material on the outside feels great and the material on the inside is better. It is soft and doesn't irritate your skin.

This blazer is the kind of blazer that you could get away with wearing with casual clothes and it doesn't give it too much of a 'secretary' look. Blazers (or similar things) are more 'in' now, and if you're looking for a 'casual' blazer - this is the perfect one.

Plain Tops // Topshop

Yay for basic tops! These two are great and I cannot fault them. They're from Topshop, but I can't find them online (they're pretty old), but no doubt you'd find something similar in store.
They go with anything and you can use them for casual or going out events, which is awesome.
They also are 'bitty', what I mean by this, is that they're not just 'plain', but have bits coming off of them (this is normal - so don't think that it's falling apart).

Disco Treggings // Topshop // £30

I'm so in love with these. The look, the feel, the Sandy-ness (grease) to them is just amazing. With metallics becoming a growing trend at the moment, this helps make these 'Disco Treggings' another item of clothing that is 'in' right now.
They come in a range of colours (Navy blue is my next target) and they are lovely to wear and go out in. I forever find myself stroking my leg when I am wearing these and I highly recommend them to anyone who is considering buying them.

Polka Dot Skater Dress // Topshop // £38

It's becoming that time now where the sun (should be) making more of an appearance, therefore, a nice  flowing dress is perfect for spring/summer. I was more interested in getting 'tall stripe band back dress', however, the tall is too big and the petite version is no longer in stock, boo. BUT, this is a great alternative! It fits perfectly and you can get it in petite or normal. Perfect length. The back has a clip and zip up, the zip starts quite far down your back and is surprisingly easy to do up all the way.

Kimono // Topshop // £40

I love, love, love kimono's and when I saw this in Topshop last year, I just had to buy it. It is no longer in stock, as it was sold in summer last year, however, Topshop do tend to make similar things every now and then.
It feels great and looks lovely, but I am forever having the problem of trying to find things to put it with, so it is one of those rare occasioned type things that I wear.
The pattern and colours of this are lovely and it is a real spring/summer thing to wear - I just love it.

Micky Crop Tee // Topshop // £16

Crop tops are great, I love them, but I hate wearing them. I'm not a fan of belly buttons, either and so, to buy this top took a lot of effort for me... Do I regret it? No! This is a lovely top. Fits perfectly and YES, my bellybutton is on show, however, I just simply wear high waisted things.
I love black tops and what makes it better is that it has the classic Mickey Mouse! This looks great with anything on the bottom half and is very comfortable - I recommend!

Latest Reading/Leeds Lineup

You may or may not have seen my previous blog post about the lineup that was announced for Reading/Leeds festival, but I felt to make another considering there have been more announcements.

As always, you will forever be seeing fake lineups or 'teasers' to excite you for the big festival, but it's the revelation of the lineup on the great Radio1 that has us all on the edge of our seats.
Eminem, Biffy Clyro, Foals, Chase and Status, Imagine Dragons, Jake Bugg, Phoenix, Bastille, Frank Turner, 1975 - TO NAME A FEW. 

The revelation of hearing that some of my favourite acts will be playing at this awesome festival has me shaking with excitement, is it just me?

The fact that Imagine Dragons will be there definitely had me. If you haven't heard any of their stuff - I recommend you do so. Bastille and Phoenix are also other great acts that I recommend you listen to if you haven't already. The one thing I must stress is... DALLAS GREEN (A.K.A CITY AND COLOUR) IS HE OR ISN'T HE?! I've heard that he is, however, I have not seen that he is.. But if not, WHY NOT?!

Even though I am excited about the smaller acts that are playing, I am disappointed with the fact that Green Day are headlining. I would have been much happier to hear that Mumford or Arctic Monkeys were playing, but oh well, I can just skip Green Day and get pissed.

I know that this is a pretty shit blog post, but I just couldn't contain my excitement of the lineup so far. So, before I leave you, I would like to give you the image of sitting around a tent with your best buds & thousands of strangers, eating shit, drinking alcohol as if it were your only hope to survive. The sun beaming, awesome wellies with great music, shit toilets and a fairground, if that doesn't tempt you, I don't know what will?

What comes after college?

I'm forever sitting at home on my beloved Mac watching fashion blogs, watching films and dreaming of what I wish life was like.

Cara Delevingne

I follow my favourite celebrities on Twitter and Instagram and forever get jealous about the lives that they live. You have the models, who are snooty and stick thin with no personalities... But then you have Cara Delevingne, who is loved by many and actually has the personality to match her beauty and gets to meet amazing people. Chloe Moretz, who is only 16 and has been in plenty of films, great fashion and has been on the cover of Teen Vogue. YouTuber 'fashionrocksmysocks' who gets free things, invitations to great events and has thousands of people who actually listen to her fashion advice.

What is most amazing about this is that they're young, however, that just makes me feel like I'm getting nowhere in life. With much thinking about the future, I have decided about what I want to do - be involved in fashion. What one of the main reasons about why I didn't not want to go to university is that if I didn't go, buying loads of lovely clothes would be pointless, because what does it matter if no one gets to see them? Which is what made me think more about a future career in fashion.

I dream to make my way up within the fashion industry, build my contacts and eventually become the next big thing. But hey, it's going to take a lot of work and odds are it'll never happen, but I might as well try. Not only this, but when I leave college, I will then finally start looking more into acting schools/classes.

If I'm honest, the idea of not going to university and being thrown straight into the deep end excites me. I know that university can help build knowledge and contacts, but once I leave, I'll be right at the bottom, whereas now, I get my 3 year head start - which I am going to make the most of. I will make the most amount of money I can, whilst still making my way up and hopefully move out! That is the plan, folks!
