WISHLIST

Being poor isn't the most fun thing in the world. Not only can I not afford things, but a list of things I wish I could afford to buy starts to pile up (not fun).

Considering I'm having to contain my excitement for buying these things until I... Well... Can afford to buy these things (but probably wont because I'll still be poor), I thought I'd show you instead for the mean time.

Pretty much sold out in most MAC stores, this is a bitch to find. BUT such a super lovely colour that isn't too nude for you to not be able to tell it's on your lips... If that makes sense?

I love myself a bit of Topshop. I love myself a bit of jumper, and I love myself a bit of Christmas festiveness, which is what makes this jumper completely perfect for me as it is ALL THREE of those things.

I LOVEEEE this coat. THE COLOUR. THE FUR. THE SIZE. It's just so lovely and looks so lovely and is just so lovely. Have I said lovely enough times for you to understand how lovely I find this coat yet?!?!?! Thought so.
P.s. LOVELY

Talking about breaking the bank here... This beauty will sure do that. Especially with the large memory that I'll be wanting on this bad boy. Editing on my iMac isn't enough... She does her job well, but unfortunately, has to stay stationary whilst I do all of this - a mac-book, however, will be entirely practical.

Another apple product *sigh* slave to the apple *sigh* YES. I LOVE APPLE PRODUCTS and an iPhone 6 comes onto the list of apple products wanted. My iPhone 5 has been a great buddy over these years, but unfortunately is slowly on its way out and is in need of replacing... iPhone 6, you'll do just fine.

So yeah, Santa... If you want to break the budget this year, I wouldn't entirely mind (only joking). But it goes without saying that these things are pretty expensive and it's going to take me quite a while to save up for them, but a girl can dream, right?

Lush Purchases

*I WROTE THIS POST A VERY LONG TIME AGO BUT FORGOT TO POST IT. I, HOWEVER, AM STILL GOING TO POST IT, DESPITE THE FACT IT'S OLD. ENJOY ANYWAY!*

As per, my posts have been long apart, however this time I have a much more interesting read (hopefully interesting, anyway) and that is... LUSH. As many of you may know, I love a good lush product. I love that they're natural, cater for everyone and smell, well... Lush.

SOOOOOOO, as pay day has long been and gone, I was happy to see the amount that I had earned and thought I should treat myself to a few Lush goodies. Some of these products I have used in the past and so have bought them again because I love them, however, I also thought I'd go for a few different things to what I usually buy.

---

First of all, I did go into Lush with a problem in mind and that was the dreaded cellulite. A lot of people have cellulite and I am one of those unfortunate people. I don't have it SUPERBADOMG, but it is enough to bother me. So along with (attempting to) eating healthy, working out and drinking plenty of water, I wanted something else to help bring down the appearance.

Looking online gave me a lot of help and I found that many people said 'Buffy' helped them with the lumps and bumps on their bums, however, after talking to two different people who work in Lush, they said that 'sugar scrub' works best for cellulite.

SUGAR SCRUB
Priced at a very decent price of '£2.95', it will definitely last you a good amount of time.
"Scrub up nicely with this mix of sugar, grated ginger and fresh fennel that’s not only great for brightening the skin, but also helps to boost circulation and buff the skin. Use a little of this intense scrub and gently exfoliate the skin while its ingredients get to work stimulating the tissue below." - Lush site.
I've used this three times (there is no limit to how often you can use it) however, the texture is scratchy and so people with sensitive skin may want to use it not so often.
I have noticed a small difference since I've used it and the lumps and bumps are not as noticeable, hopefully with more use they'll be even less noticeable.
I'm very impressed with this product and as well as the very good price, I will definitely be buying this again.
HOW TO USE: Break off a as much as you want each time and rub it into wet skin. DO NOT wet the whole product (like I did the first time I got it) as the product will break apart into mush and make a mess on your side.

---

Not only did I buy Sugar Scrub, but I also did buy 'Buffy', purely from the good reviews that I saw online and thought it would be worth it to try the product out. I haven't yet used it as I am waiting until I have used 'Sugar Scrub' up, but from talking to a member of staff at the store, they said it leaves the skin feeling silky soft after use - and that's always a good thing.

Having a bath can be both annoying and good - annoying purely for the fact that sometimes a quick shower is needed. However, the main good thing about a bath (besides it being relaxing) is the fact that you can use bath bombs/bubbles/melts. Whilst in the store to buy my cellulite saving products, I couldn't help but buy a few bath bombs (that I have already used).

Blackberry Bath Bomb

Ickle Baby Bot

Sex Bomb

And finally, I asked for help on products for my face. I no longer have huge spots surrounding my face and the redness has gone. However, there are tiny red dots left and I wanted something that would keep the quality of my skin the same, but finally remove the red dots. I understand that using face masks will bring out any looming spots and then take them all away, but I didn't want something that would momentarily bring my spots out.

So due to being unsure of what product to use, I was given a free sample of 'Fresh Farmacy'. I have only used this once so far and it definitely made my face look fresh. I feel that I need to use it more than once to see if it will actually bring down the red dots, but fingers crossed!

To use this, you just rub it into wet hands or onto a wet face. I usually leave it a little while before washing it off. I felt like my face was literally squeaky clean and it made the appearance of my skin look bright and soft. I'm definitely considering buying this product, however I want to use it a little more before I make a firm decision.
Price: £4.75

LUSH Festive Haul (Halloween & Christmas)

Hey guys! So this is just another quick post promoting my YouTube video - Lush Festive Haul! This was great fun to make and the products are just so awesome.

Sorry that I've barely been posting and that when I do post it is only to show a video from my YouTube channel. It's just recently I don't feel as into making blog posts as I am making videos. I know that will change eventually, but for now SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube!

THANK YOU.

Belated Birthday Stuff

This is quite a late post considering my birthday was around 3 weeks ago, but oh well! Better late than never I suppose?

This year I was well and truly spoilt. Not only did my mother get me a new pair of nude Louboutins and my dad pay towards my car insurance, but my brother... Yes, brother, paid £150 towards a new tattoo that I shall be getting at the beginning of October and that's just the start of it.

An early start to the day with beans on toast as the first food of my 19-hood. They were pretty daymmmn good.

---

One of the best surprises of the day had to be from my boyfriend, Charlie. He bought me a new pair of vans (because my arsehole dog ate my favourite pair of vans - it was a sad day) and wrote me a 'birthday itinerary' telling me to pack my bags for an over night stay in London and my god was the hotel a beaut.
St Pancras Hotel
Not only did we stay in London for the night, but he took me to the Pandora shop, where he got me a ring and took me out for a meal (at the great italian restaurant - Zizzi's). Waking up the next day was well and truly the saddest thing. The hotel was amazing and all the staff were so polite - I've never felt so posh in my life.

Mac Wishlist

It has been over a good year since I have bought any Mac makeup (that wasn't lipstick or mascara) and most of that, I still actually have. I don't wear much makeup, which half explains why I still do have most of the makeup purchased all that time ago, however, recently a lot of it is starting to run out and so I thought I'd make a post on my what is on my 'Mac wishlist'.

As per, I can't help but to add extras to my wishlist shopping bag (lipsticks and glitter) but the powder, eyeliner and mascara are a definite must. I love the colours of lipstick that I've added to my bag and I've wanted these colours for some time, so I'll definitely be making these purchases after pay day.

One of my main wants on the list has most definitely got to be the gold glitter. I think it would look perfect on the eyes along with winged liquid eyeliner and would complete the look and give a perfect shine in the light. Understandably would have to be aware of not using too much and result in looking like a cheap hooker, but after some practising I hope to perfect the look.

DEPOP

Alas, this is another small post (I do have posts lined up - I just need to edit and upload the photos and that has been proving an impossible task for me). ANYWAYYY, this is just a small post to say that I have now FINALLY set up my DEPOP.

Selling my clothes online is something that I have considered to do many a time, however, I've never got round to doing it. So instead of selling clothes online, I would just throw them away or give them to charity.

Recently, I have been working as much as I can in order to get as much money as I can. The reason for this is not only because I'm bored of being poor and asking 'mummy' for money, but I'm also trying to save up for a car I've wanted LONGGG before I even started driving - a Mini.

SO YEAH, basically this post is just to say that I've set up my Depop account to help me with my climb towards getting a Mini (and the insanely expensive insurance that comes with it) and if you have a Depop too, follow me! - @ helloimnikita

(ps, Depop is an app which you sell things on for iPhones - maybe other phones too... I'm not quite sure, sorry.)

Oops

It's another one of those times where uploading blog posts become rare for me. Recently I've been working a whole lot (I mean a WHOLE LOT more) than usual and it does make it a lot harder to keep up to date with my blog.

This is just a quick post to say sorry about the lack of posts and I'll try my hardest to at least attempt to write them - once you stop, it's hard to start again.

Help! My Skin Suckssss

I hate spots. Not only do they look super unappealing, but when they're gone, they feel the need to leave a little redness behind just as a "ha, bitch" present (well, mine do anyway).

When huge spots appear, I found it the norm to have redness left behind for around 2-3 weeks, however, for the past three months the redness doesn't seem to be moving anywhere fast. It's got to the point where they fade to a certain extent and then just don't do anything after that, and so there are quite a few red dots around my face (I'm not a happy bunny).

I've tried many different masks - mainly from lush and they do work - just not as well as I would like, and so I resulted to looking online at some of the best things to help.

Alas, this is where I came across 'Dermalogica' (Dermalogica is a skin care company, which includes cleansers, toners, masques, exfoliants, moisturisers, and treatments for acne).

The pricing of Dermalogica can be very dear (talking around £60 for some products) but there are also the occasional few that are cheaper (around £25). All the products come with what they do and what they work best on, and of course, most of them have reviews. I looked deep into many of the moisturisers/masques that I thought would help with the problem that I had.

I eventually came across 'Ultracalming Serum Concentrate' priced at £52.60 *ouch* (however, it had great 5* reviews). Understandably, not many people would want to pay that price for something that may not work for them, however, I was determined to give it a chance, and hey... It's my choice what to spend money on, right? You can buy it cheaper, but I thought it be best to buy through the actual website (LINK).

                                                          ---

It has now been around 1-2 weeks since I bought this product and I can definitely tell an improvement in my face. The redness from previous spots are pretty much gone and it has helped bring the redness down on a rather large volcano I had on my left cheek. Not only has it helped bring down the redness, but has also given my face a fresher look to it and I'm so impressed with this product. You use it twice a day - once in the morning and once before bed.

It also comes with three little samples, one of which is a primer which works GREAT before putting on makeup - also recommended.

OOTN - Friday 25th

*I did write this post on the Sunday (27th) but for some reason never uploaded it. Oh well! Better late than never?*

It's birthday weekend for Kayleigh, and so what does that mean? Yes... Drinking. Most people's favourite pass time. I thought I'd do a different post than what I usually do and do an 'OOTN' (for those of you who do not know - 'Outfit Of The Night' - post.)

The best place in the world = London (for me, anyway)

London is always the place I look forwards to going to. Even if for a short while, I will make myself look super presentable (attempt to). Wear my favourite clothes and attempt to do my makeup to perfection... All for London.

Saturday 26th April, 2014 is no exception.

MCBUSTED

Around about 10 years ago this year, I went to my first concert and that was BUSTED. When going to see Busted, they had two support acts (some shit band I cannot remember the name of) and MCFLY - this was when McFly were starting out. Busted were much bigger at the time, but after the demise of Busted, McFly have taken over and have stuck together ten years on.

However, for limited time only, McFly have done 'the awesome', collaborated with Busted (who aren't getting back together btw) and made MCBUSTED. (No Charlie, boo you, Charlie.)

Finding out about the news, I jumped on the tickets and attempted to get the best I could... I didn't succeed *weeps and points to very top, far back of the O2 arena* but who cares, this is my (and everyone from the 90's... Who liked them) childhood dream.

----

Saturday 26th April
After going for a lovely Zizzi's at O2 (which made me so bloated I looked pregnant) Charlie and myself headed toward the inside area of the O2 to find our seats. We were very high up and actually finding the seats were something I found difficult - but alas, we found them YAYYY.

McBusted didn't actually come on until sometime after 9pm, but they did have a support act (three five year old looking teenagers). Personally, they weren't my cup of tea, but hey-ho! They got to play at the O2 and that's a pretty big achievement - well done, kids!

The show started with a 'back to the future' kind've theme up on the screens, which was awesomely done, may I add. Including the theme music that was used in the film and the famous 'back to the future car - the DeLorean'. It showed the break up of Busted and a race for James and Matt to go "back to the future" to make it to the McBusted show in time.

As the car went 80mph and disappeared, a loud bang and fire appeared on the stage and the beloved car slowly dropped down to the stage, where both Matt and James climbed out. as they walk toward the main part of the stage, more banging and fire appeared as the McFly crew jumped out from underneath the stage.

Overall, the gig was amazing and the music and atmosphere was just as good as I remembered it being when I was eight years old. I've seen McFly four times now and I never thought I'd be seeing Busted for a second.

I've been to a crazy amount of gigs in my time and have EASILY seen over 100 different acts, and I must say, McBusted are easily in the top 3.

For the Love of Jumpsuits

Being small is something that I once thought was a height not suited for a jumpsuit (in personal experience in the past and from seeing them on other people). However, recently, I have developed a love for them and have been trying so hard to find one that would actually suit me and not make me look much smaller than I already am.

As fashion constantly develops, so do opinions, and my opinion is that Jumpsuits actually do suit smaller people as well as the taller ones.

So, taking in mind the love that I have developed for jumpsuits, I thought I'd do a jumpsuit appreciation post.

March Favourites

Alas, March has been and gone and we are now in April. So far I'd say the days have been going very fast... After all we are into the fourth month of the year, and before we know it, Christmas ads will be back on our TV's (in august no doubt - darn you, early Christmas ads).

Now that the full month of March has passed, I thought I'd write a post on my March Favourites.

1. TOPSHOP - Gingham Print Joni Jeans
I can't stop wearing these jeans. I feel like I should stop wearing them so much incase people think I don't wash my clothes - I do btw. Despite the fact that they are 'skinny jeans' they're super comfy and they don't bunch up on the back of the legs. The print is lighter than I thought (online they look black) they're actually a faded black look, but they still look fab on.
LINK

2. WITCH STICK
I'm totally fed up with the red marks that wont fade on my face with additional spots coming along to join that and leave behind more redness, because of this, I have gone super crazy with face masks, washes and my beloved Witch Stick. About twice a day - morning and night, I apply the Witch Stick to areas that either have redness or areas that I can feel spots developing. I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin and the redness seems to be fading and any spots that are trying to make their way to surface haven't succeeded.
LINK

3. LUSH - Angels on Bare Skin
For the past month, I have been struggling with getting rid of the left over redness from spots and so I decided to go to the best place for skin care (in my opinion) and that is LUSH. I told one of the ladies that worked there my problem and she suggested 'Angels on Bare Skin', which is a face wash. Since then I have been using it every day, moisturising my face after, and it has definitely made a difference and it's only been 5 days. The redness seems reduced and barely visible. Ofc, along side this I have been using my beloved 'Witch Stick'.
LINK

4. MAC - Lady Danger Lipstick
I have had this lipstick for a long time now and it's still going strong. This month I've had more of an obsession with it in comparison to other months. What I love about this colour is that it goes with pretty much any outfit that I create, however, the downside of this lipstick is that you need to make sure that your lips are perfect before applying - if not, the lipstick dries out a lot quicker than usual. Other than that, it's a fab colour that gets many compliments and "omg what lipstick is that?"
LINK

5. CHANEL - Coco Mademoiselle
This perfume is lushhhh. It smells great and has a mature scent to it (if that makes sense). The smell really does last a long time and the look of the bottle is perfection. There isn't really much to say about this perfume other than it smells great and I wear it all the time. The price for this is quite expensive, especially for the larger bottle - but it lasts a very long time and the smell makes the price worth it.
LINK

6. NEWLOOK - Pug Slippers
No doubt, the best slippers of all time. I was browsing the Newlook site when I came across these super cute slippers and I thought that I just had to buy them. Once I collected them and saw the slippers, the size amazed me... They were a lot bigger than I thought, but once I put them on my feet, it was like I was standing on a cloud. They're super comfy and take up the whole of your feet. They do make a lot of squeaky noises when you're waking on any flooring that isn't carpet, but other than that, they're super great. Even Marley (my Puggle) loves them.

Bedroom Wishlist

When I look at the name 'Bedroom wishlist' I think that some of you maybe clicked on the link to see what my 'wishes' are for in the bedroom - I hope that isn't the case. I have named this 'Bedroom Wishlist' purely for the fact that recently, I have a huge pile up list of things I want to buy for my bedroom.

Hopefully sometime soon my room is going to be decorated. I have a huge plan of how I want my room to look (very different from what it does now) and I'm desperate to buy new things for it... Mainly a new carpet because mine sucks and has loads of holes (not my fault) and makeup stains on it.

I'm hoping to go for more of a minimalistic girlish look to the room. With mainly white and added decorations to splash in more colour.

1. I absolutely hate my wardrobe, and whilst looking on the IKEA website, I found this wardrobe that would be perfect for me (the other side of the wardrobe does have a section for trousers and dresses).
And what makes this wardrobe better is that it has SLIDING DOORS.

Price: £170

2. LINK (click me)
Price: £35

3. Another thing in my room that I hate - the light. Not only does the shade for the lamp look shit and tacky, but the light itself is awful and doesn't light my room very well.
LINK (click me)
Price: £44.98

4. LINK (click me)
Price: £100

5. This doesn't really have any relevance to how I want my room done, however, it is something that has been on my 'wishlist' for a while - those of you who don't know what this is, it is a softbox. commonly used by photographers to create better lighting in photos. I, however, would use this to film videos on my YouTube channel.
LINK (click me)
Price: £62.99

6. Something that I have recently become weird about is hangers. From having to sort out all of the hanger boxes at my work (removing old hangers and replacing them for new) I've come to the conclusion that I hate that my hangers have shop names on them... And not even all of the same shop name. Therefore, I wish to get new hangers for all of my clothes that match and will no longer make my wardrobe look messy.
LINK (click me)
Price: £5.50 per 8

7.  As you may have seen on no.2, I also wish to buy a new chair to go with the desk I want. This chair most definitely looks like it will become uncomfortable after a while and that is why I wish to get a pillow for it - simplesss.
LINK (click me)
Price: £6.99

8. This little see-through thing is a mini vase, something that I thought would look SUPER cute on the vanity table (no.9)
LINK (click me)
Price: £1.99

9. Last but not least - a vanity table. From how I want my room changed around, there is no way I would be able to do my make up with ease and because of this, I think a vanity table is a must. Not only this, but I think it would look SUPER lovely with the way I want my room done.

Rio Total Body Waxing Kit

Calling all hairy females out there (or males - I don't judge) I have found the ultimate 'fuck you hairy legs (or anywhere else)' product, and that is: Rio Total Body Waxing Kit.

Shaving is probably the easiest and quickest thing to do, however, for most people, the hair is only gone for around 2 days. I'm quite lucky and my hair takes a very long time to grow back, so I thought that if I waxed it, it would take even longer than it normally would (hopefully).

So after reading a load of reviews of different sites, I came to the conclusion that 'Rio Total Body Waxing Kit' would be my best bet and so I bought it. The price of the kit is £39.99 and comes with everything you need (hard wax, soft wax, DVD, the heater and pan, sticks, waxing strips and wax remover).

The kit is very messy and does take a little while to get used to it, but after a while you most definitely get the hang of it and once you have, it is super easy to use.

Basically, I'm writing this post to tell you all that this is definitely a great purchase and I recommend you buy it if you're fed up of shaving.

Vlogging

So it has been a good few months since I last uploaded a video to YouTube. I have actually filmed a few videos since then, however, from watching them back, I was totally put off the idea of putting them on YouTube (mainly because of my round face and thousand chins that appear when I talk). So because of that, I did delete them. When they say a camera adds ten pounds, I totally believe that. Infact... I seem to add 1000.

Anyway, not too long ago, after watching one of my favourite vloggers - fashionrocksmysocks, I decided to pluck up the courage and start to film again. Yes, I can still see my double chin and yes, my face still looks like the size of a basketball, but I love filming and editing and so I shall try and look past those flaws.

The point of this blog post is to just say that I'm back and shall hopefully be carrying on!

The Best Mascara

Every girl wants the best mascara (well, those who use mascara) and it is often hard to find the mascara that best suits you.

Around 3 years ago for Christmas, my mother bought me Mac makeup and that was when I first came across what I thought was the best mascara EVER. Before that Christmas, I was using any old mascara that I could find in Superdrug or Boots, and these mascaras were pretty shit. They would dry out quickly and make my eyelashes look clumpy.

The point of this post is to tell you all how amazed I am with the new mascara I bought. So amazed, that I felt it most definitely needed to be talked about. Priced at around £18, I understand it will turn people off... Heck, it even put me off slightly. But knowing that Mac has never disappointed me, I thought I'd take a risk, and it was a good risk to take.

It's understandable that not everyone can afford expensive mascaras (Mac are usually priced £16+) however, with the length of time it takes to use up Mac mascara, it would probably take three standard priced mascaras, so surely the price is balanced out?

No way could I ever think that mascara could give you the 'false lash' effect all the others claim to give (they bullshit). What is even better about this mascara is that not only can you give yourself super lush long lashes, but you can give yourself cute daytime lashes too. It doesn't take many strokes to get our desired look and so I'm hoping the mascara lasts a long time.

Summer Looks

Ok, so maybe making a post about Summer right now is totally pointless. After all, we have only had a little bit of sun right? And even then there has still been a chill in the air. I am, however, going to stay optimistic about a beautiful sun and warm temperature this summer. So with thoughts of summer in mind, I came up with a few super fab bits that would look great this summer (well, in my opinion).

Of course, there are plenty more looks that I could create that I feel would be the 'best summer looks' however, I simply do not have the time (and patience) to create a whole picture on the many items of clothing that would be awesome this summer. Not only this, but there are still more clothes to come in that are not around yet, so as summer gets closer, do be expecting a new and updated post.

Gossip Girl Fashion

I think we can all agree (those who watch gossip girl, anyway) that Gossip Girl has those 'ew, what are they wearing' or 'omg, that dress is beautiful, I wish I was an Upper East Sider' moments.

As I am currently watching all of the Gossip Girl episodes from beginning to end again, I have noticed some of the amazing clothes and shoes that have made an appearance (and not to forget Vera Wang and the occasional flash of Louboutins).

Not only are those big names involved with Gossip Girl, but other big names such as Valentino, Marc Jacobs, Elie Saab, etc...

So here are some of the memorable amazing outfits that were used in Gossip Girl.

Gone Maybe Gone
This picture most definitely explains the three characters of (from left) Nate Archibald - the beautiful Chace Crawford, Chuck (Charles) Bass, Dan Humphrey... Ha, 'Humphrey'. Dan sticks to the classic 'outsider' look, whilst Chuck mixes up his 'ha, I'm super rich' look and Nate goes for more of a normal suit approach. TOTALLY explains their characters - in my opinion.

Monstrous Ball

New York, I love you

New York, I love you
I supper love Serena's wedding dress in the final episode of Gossip girl. The lovely gold top which then splatters down the side leading into an white/ivory? dress is totally stunning.

There are, of course, plenty more amazing outfits that have been shown throughout the series of Gossip Girl, however, if I were to show all of those, you'd be reading (or looking) for quite a long time - why don't you watch the series and find out for yourself? Or if you have seen Gossip Girl, then you'd know.
